Neptune Beach
Just north of Jacksonville Beach and south of Atlantic Beach. Neptune Beach has about 1.5 miles of oceanfront with some public on street parking. East of A1A is mostly residential with a high percentage of duplex type homes. Mostly a laid back beach town with the exception of the huge party thrown every 4th of July. On the north end is The Beaches Town Center. Great bars and restaurants that include Pete’s Bar, the first bar to open in Duval County after Prohibition was repealed in 1933. They close down the streets every year for the famous Pete’s Thanksgiving Day celebration, and for my favorite festival, Dancing In The Streets. The most affordable oceanfront properties north of Guana State Park can be found here. West of A1A is mostly single family neighborhoods with beautiful Jarboe Park right in the center of Neptune, just off Florida Blvd.
